San Gabriel Valley Private School | Foothill Oaks Academy | Private School Lady Interviews |
Mia Brantley is an 8th Grader at Foothill Oaks Academy. She shares her excitement about school and shares a few words of wisdom with the incoming class.
1. What is your favorite part of being at Foothill Oaks?
I really love how this school offers a very well-rounded education. In addition to all of the core subjects, I am being introduced to art, music, and technology. The teachers are wonderful and I receive one-on-one attention in each class.
2. What advice would you give to new students?
Try to make friends with everyone and really go for it! Find what you love most and share it with your classmates. You might find that you have something in common with someone else. Definitely don’t be afraid to ask questions, the teachers don’t bite!
3. What academic experience at FOA has made a big impression on you?
I was really impressed by the History Makers Project because it gave me more confidence to talk in front of my whole class for five minutes. Also, it was actually very interesting to learn about Jesus and Catherine the Great.
4. What is your favorite way to hang out on the weekend?
I love to dance and listen to music. Just recently, I have been doing my community service hours and I have been making many other friends outside of school.
